What we found out when we were too trusting – people in the United States are under attack by scammers who see everyone in this country as pigs to be fattened and then butchered (their term, not ours!).  These scammers are pros, usually headquartered overseas which makes it very difficult to try to file criminal fraud charges against them.  They excel at gaining the trust of their marks, even after they’ve been called out as scammers.  Even if you think you know better.
